I almost finished. The flesh is still a little hot and hopefully I can fix that tomorrow with glazing. I enjoyed today. For the most part, the painting was smooth and pleasant. It’s a beautiful piece and fits very well with the biblical version.
The young man who portrays the Rich Young Ruler is a son-in-law. He is finishing his last year of medical school on his way to becoming an oral surgeon. He is a very good man and in no way is there an implication that he is stereotyped. I chose him because he looked the part of a successful young man and looked ambitious. He represents all of us. We are given so much by our Heavenly Father and yet, we are so stingy in what we will give back.
